Our environmentally friendly, heirloom quality, contemporary, sophisticated Organic Hemp Club Chairs, Love seats, Sofas and Ottomans are handcrafted one at a time by our expert craftsmen with decades of experience making individual and unique designer quality furniture. Our frames are now made exclusively from urban old growth trees felled from local city parkways and destined for low-use mulch but now saved for the highest use, heirloom quality sustainable furniture. Saving trees in this manor allows for natural forest trees to remain in their ecosystems and requires little transportation and resulting pollution and carbon emissions. This unique commitment is far better for our environment than even FSC certified wood. We use steel screws and fasteners as well as non-toxic natural based glues. Our Bean Organic line cushioning is made from 100% natural latex foam rubber which provides superior comfort and support and is the most long lasting and least toxic of any cushioning material. Our natural latex foam rubber is an environmentally friendly renewable resource that is naturally harvested from rain forest rubber trees, actually the sap collected from the “Hevea BrasiliensesColors Fabric” and will outlast all toxic synthetic petroleum based urethane foams, often 20 years or more at which time the cushions and batting can the be safely biodegraded in a landfill. We use a natural hemp or jute covering for our steel base springs and tight back springs, then a layer of natural latex foam rubber and then apply several layers of pure organic cotton batting for cushioning and then secure everything with a barrier wrap of organic cotton sheeting. Finally this piece is tightly upholstered with our special heavy Hemp fabrics, Eco-option designer fabrics or customer provided fabric then precise natural core welting accents the piece.
